With Scientrix you have the unique ability to link grids on multiple levels. This allows you to cascade solutions from high level concepts to actionable items.
To do this, click on the “more” icon and select Add new grid. Give the second level grid a name, a description and optionally, change the default characteristics. You can always customize these later. Click on “add”
You will now see a grid icon appear in the bottom right hand corner of your element. Click on this icon to see your second level grid.
You can now start adding to your second level grid. If you need help adding content, refer to our quick overview tutorial on “Building a new grid”
To navigate between grids you can use the “cookie trail” or “breadcrumbs” just below the main navigation. Here you can see your different levels.
Each grid you create will be stored in the grid library, meaning that each grid can be linked to any other solution, here is an example. The same grid can be linked to another element in the grid. Click on the “more” icon and select, “Link grid” find the grid you wish to add and link it.
You will now see the same grid icon and when you click on it you will see the same grid linked to two different elements.
To better understand this layout, navigate to your main dashboard where you will see your second grid saved under ungrouped grids. This means that your second grid can either be a standalone grid or it can be linked to any number of solutions.
Here’s an example: If a grid represents your department’s action plan, then the head of this department, if made responsible for the grid, will see the grid in their dashboard when it is assigned.
