If you are made responsible for an initiative, you need to make sure it is updated regularly. You can go to your dashboard and under ‘My Initiatives’ you will see a list of all the initiatives you are responsible for or those for which you are a team member.
Use the filters above each column or use the pin function to sort them. With the pin function you can quickly visualize the most important initiatives to you. Enable the pin by selecting the pin icon. When it turns blue it will be enabled. Then turn the pin function on in the top right corner. The same can be done in the Kanban view.
Once you click on an initiative, first you need to look at the overall health of the initiative. If you have health assessments enabled, manually change the ‘in time’, ‘in budget’, ‘in quality’ and ‘commitment’ indicators or whichever custom names you have given these indicators. Remember to add the change reasons for traceability reasons.
The overall progress of the initiative is based on the sum of the underlining tasks. This means making sure that the tasks are on track and that there are no tasks falling behind. Progress should be updated manually. KPIs need to be updated as well.
Those responsible to update these, need to do this in a timely manner. If there are any issues raised it is important to revise them and make sure the assigned person is working on resolving them. Comments can be made to graphs and KPIs and team members can be emailed directly with any concerns or questions.
