ADMIN ONLY: This guide provides a step-by-step process for disabling and deleting a user in Scientrix. The fastest way to prevent system access is simply to remove the license for a user. This can easily be reversed later on. The guide also shows the full deletion of a user and the related employee.
Follow the steps below:
1. We start by clicking on our avatar at the top right.
2. In the drop-down menu we click on "Admin"
3. Then we click on "Manage Users"
4. In the user list we click on "Filters" to find the user we want to disable or delete
5. We start typing the name (e.g. George Harrison) in the employee field and click on it
6. Then we click "Filter"
7. We see the user that we want to delete. Now, the first and fastest thing that we need to do if we want to (temporarily) disable a user is to click on the "padlock" icon to remove this user's license.
8. And we confirm by clicking "OK"
9. We can see the confirmation that the license has been removed, and with that, this user cannot access the Scientrix system any longer.
10. Now, if we want to really delete this user, we click the "trashbin" icon behind the user
11. Then we confirm the deletion by clicking "Yes, delete"
12. And that's it. We get the confirmation that the user has been deleted successfully.
But this deletion only removes the user. We then also need to remove the related employee. To do this, we click on "Manage Employees" in the left menu
13. In the Employee list we click on "Filters" to find the person
14. We type George into the Firstname field and click "Filter"
15. And there we see George Harrison is still here. So also here we need to remove him from the employe list and delete him. So we click on the "trashbin" icon.
16. Then we confirm by clicking on "Yes, delete"
17. When scrolling down to the end, we can see that George Harrison is no longer there
